Just turned to this page and saw the message here. This is my daughter - since then she has attended an Alpha course and taken a friend with her. She is now a regular attender at this same mid week church in the City of London where she works which is a sister church of Holy Trinity Brompton. She can't come on Sunday unfortunately but would have done if she was able.

On the very day the Awakening took place, as a delegate was walking to the event she had a call from her prodigal daughter she had planned to pray for. The daughter asked her “Mum what are you doing now?” to which the delegate replied “I am about to put your name in a balloon and send it to Heaven”. The same day the daughter received an email from a church she has occasionally attended and was so surprised that God answered her mother’s prayers so soon she forwarded it to them.
The email started with this scripture:
This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is not difference for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:22-24
It went on to explain when we work and live with the same people it becomes apparent to all of us that we fall short not only of the Glory of God but our own standards. That we cannot help but see one another fail and succeed.
That this is a faith for all those who live and work in the real world. That this is the most wonderful news imaginable that whoever we are, whatever we have done, whatever we are like, He gives us true righteousness.
Now she knows God is on her case.
